Amy & Cecil

On Sunday evening my students took us out for dinner. Amy and Cecil are perhaps the most advanced students at the school. Cecil is a doctor and Amy is the office administrator at the clinic.

They took us to a very fancy and expensive restaurant in the seaside town of Danshui. You can see in the photo below that we had a great view of the river. Amy, Cecil and I had NZ steaks and Mike had the chef's special - a NZ$40 steak. We never eat anything that expensive here, most meals we have are about $5-10.

As we walked back to the metro station this bloke offered to cut my portrait out of paper for free. In Danshui there are many artists who will draw your portrait but I've never seen anyone cutting before!
