Learning the lingo

Today we took a Vietnamese lesson. It wasn't really necessary as it seems that most touristy places speak English but we think it is a good way to understand the culture a bit better and it's fun!

So we had a 90 minute lesson with Ann from Hidden Hanoi. She taught us some basic phrases and vocabulary. Knowing Chinese certainly helped. In Chinese there are 4 tones but in Vietnamese there are 6.

Hopefully we can use it on the streets!
